The images of the storm are so incredible to me. It is amazing to see how events like this somehow pull people together in the toughest of times. These are some of the most moving images set to a new track called "Explosions Of the Mind".

A few weeks ago I had the chance to do a new arrangement of the Sinatra classic "Without A Song" for an upcoming episode of CSI Las Vegas. We got to record at the world famous Capitol Records Studio A, where many of the originals were cut back in the day. Many thanks to Jason Alexander and Jonathan Christianson at Hit The Ground Running, producer Phil Conserva, contracter Rick Fleishman, Sam Diaz at CBS, engineer Charlie Paakkari, and the amazing Rick Baptist and his incredible brass section!

This is a cue written for Fox Sports last year. We recorded at the Rudolfinum Concert Hall in Prague. There's nothing like having a huge orchestra playing in a a concert hall that is centuries old. It is a rare treat that doesn't happen often enough. Anyway, the project kind of fizzled, but I got some great music out of it...
This is a cue from the "Rock and A Hard Place" episode of CSI:Miami. I have gotten more emails about this scene from people throughout the world than any other. It was just one of those great scenes, that I was lucky to be able to help with. Got the scene at 7pm on a Tuesday and the mix was on the next day. There was four minutes of silence, no temp music, no nothing. It was one of those moments that you just stare at the blank page and hope that something comes out. And this is what did. Simple little piano riff that I kept building on. So, anyway, farewell Dr. Alex Woods - or at least until I can see you on Treme this sunday!
